Information, not advice
Comparisons, quizzes and games are for interest and entertainment. They are not financial, career, medical or psychological advice, and quiz scores are not validated measures of ability. We work hard to get the numbers right and explain their limits, but we can't guarantee they are free of error.
Statistics and their sources
The statistics come from the official sources listed on our sources page, under their licences. If you reuse a figure, credit the original publisher as shown there. Calculations by AboutAverage (such as positions in a distribution) are labelled.
Our content
The site's design, text, question banks and code are ours. You're welcome to share links, screenshots and your scores. Please don't copy whole sections or question banks, or present them as your own.
Contact form and contributions
Don't use the contact form to send spam, abuse or anything unlawful. If you add an answer to our visitor statistics, give an honest answer to the question asked; answers that look automated, duplicated or impossible are excluded. Published visitor statistics describe the people who chose to answer, not any wider population.
Acceptable use
Don't try to disrupt the site, get around its robot checks or rate limits, scrape it at a rate that affects other visitors, or use it to identify or target individuals.
